AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH NORTH EASTERN RESCUE VEHICLES, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN AMBULANCE AND AMENDING THE 2026 SHERIFF’S OFFICE BUDGET

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with North Eastern Rescue Vehicles, Inc. regarding the purchase of an ambulance in an amount not to exceed $253,600, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff’s Office, through the Albany County Purchasing Agent, issued a request for bids regarding the purchase of an ambulance, two bids were received, and North Eastern Rescue Vehicles, Inc. was the recommended bidder, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff has also requested a budget amendment in order to complete the purchase of the ambulance, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with North Eastern Rescue Vehicles, Inc., Syracuse, NY 13209 regarding the purchase of an ambulance in an amount not to exceed $253,600, and, be it further
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that the 2026 Sheriff’s Office Budget is hereby amended as follows:
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
