AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH INTRADO LIFE AND SAFETY SOLUTIONS REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF E911 EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY OF ALBANY AND THE TOWNS OF BETHLEHEM, COLONIE AND GUILDERLAND

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Intrado Life and Safety Solutions Corporation regarding the purchase of telephone equipment and services with NexGen 911 Functionality for the City of Albany and the Towns of Bethlehem, Colonie and Guilderland in an amount not to exceed $314,885 for a one-year term commencing on the contract execution date, and

 

WHEREAS, The Sheriff has indicated that Albany County will purchase the telephone equipment and the first year of services with the City of Albany and the Towns of Bethlehem, Colonie and Guilderland taking over the costs in the second year and going forward, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Intrado Life and Safety Solutions Corporation, Longmont, CO 80503 regarding the purchase of telephone equipment and services with NexGen 911 Functionality for the City of Albany and the Towns of Bethlehem, Colonie and Guilderland in an amount not to exceed $314,885 for a one-year term commencing on the contract execution date, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
