AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 8 COLBY STREET (TAX MAP NO. 65.21-3-21) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through “in rem” foreclosure title to a parcel of real property located at 8 Colby Street (Tax Map No. 65.21-3-21) in the City of Albany, and
WHEREAS, Willard Wakefield Jr., an adjacent property owner, has expressed an interest in acquiring the parcel for $1,500 and plans to clean the lot and possibly use it for additional off-street parking, and
WHEREAS, Revisions to the County’s Real Property Disposition Plan approved by Resolution No. 29 for 2019 allow for properties to be sold to adjacent property owners, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any and all documents necessary to convey property located at 8 Colby Street (Tax Map No. 65.21-3-21) in the City of Albany to Willard Wakefield Jr., 12 Colby Street, Albany, NY 12206 for $1,500, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That Willard Wakefield Jr. shall be responsible for all closing costs at the time of closing, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
