AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION REGARDING THE URBAN INSTITUTE’S UPWARD MOBILITY COHORT GRANT

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to submit a grant application for the Urban Institute’s Upward Mobility Cohort Grant in the amount of $125,000 for the term commencing January 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated the purpose of the Upward Mobility Cohort is to help counties develop and launch efforts to narrow inequities and support upward mobility from poverty, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has also indicated that the counties chosen to compose the Upward Mobility Cohort will also receive tailored technical support from the Upward Institute to help county leaders use mobility metrics to inform decision-making and develop a mobility action plan with the goal of implementation after the Urban Institute’s 18-month engagement, now, therefore be it 

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application for the Urban Institute’s Upward Mobility Cohort Grant in the amount of $125,000 for the term commencing January 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said application as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
