AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CHA CONSULTING, INC. REGARDING A NEW GRIT REMOVAL SYSTEM DESIGN FOR THE NORTH AND SOUTH TREATMENT PLANTS

WHEREAS, The Executive Director of the Water Purification District has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with CHA Consulting, Inc. regarding professional engineering services to evaluate and develop a Basis of Design Report for the grit removal systems at the North and South Treatment Plants in an amount not to exceed $600,000 for a term commencing December 15, 2025 and ending on June 15, 2026, and
WHEREAS, Through the Purchasing Agent, the Department received seven proposals and CHA Consulting, Inc. was deemed qualified to provide professional engineering services, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with CHA Consulting, Inc., Albany, NY 12205 regarding professional engineering services to evaluate and develop a Basis of Design Report for the grit removal systems at the North and South Treatment Plants in an amount not to exceed $600,000 for a term commencing December 15, 2025 and ending on June 15, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
