AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE ENERGY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY REGARDING THE CLEAN ENERGY COMMUNITIES PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2024 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) regarding the Clean Energy Communities Program in the amount of $125,000 for a term commencing April 1, 2024 and ending March 31, 2027, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated the funding will be used for the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charging stations located at various County facilities, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has also indicated that an amendment to the 2024 Albany County Budget is necessary in order to incorporate said funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with NYSERDA, Albany, NY 12203 regarding the Clean Energy Communities Program in the amount of $125,000 for a term commencing April 1, 2024 and ending March 31, 2027, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2024 Albany County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
Increase Revenue Account A8020 0 3076 NYSERDA Clean Energy Comm ‘24-‘25 by $125,000
Increase Appropriation Account A8020.4 by $125,000 by increasing Line Item A8020 4 4487 NYSERDA Clean Energy Comm ‘24-‘25 by $125,000
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
