AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH HIGHWAY REHAB CORP. FOR HOT-IN-PLACE ASPHALT RECYCLING ON CR 55 IN THE TOWN OF COEYMANS

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Highway Rehab Corp. regarding hot-in-place asphalt recycling on CR 55 in the Town of Coeymans in an amount not to exceed $428,052 for a term commencing June 1, 2024 and ending June 1, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that this road has deteriorated to a significant degree, and this process will extend the life of the road to over ten years, and
WHEREAS, The Department, pursuant to New York State contract, has recommended Gorman Brothers, Inc. regarding hot-in-place asphalt recycling, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Highway Rehab Corp., Brewster, NY 10509 regarding hot-in-place asphalt recycling on CR 55 in the Town of Coeymans in an amount not to exceed $428,052 for a term commencing June 1, 2024 and ending June 1, 2025, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
