AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNITY MATERNITY SERVICES REGARDING FOSTER CARE SPECIALTY PREVENTION SERVICES

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Community Maternity Services regarding the provision of Foster Care Specialty Prevention Services in an amount not to exceed $254,280 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2023, with an additional one-year option to renew, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that Community Maternity Services will continue to serve parents with developmental disabilities and/or significant mental health disorders and their children, with a focus on those birth to five years of age, to prevent foster care placement or to expedite permanency for children in foster care, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Community Maternity Services, Albany, NY 12203 regarding the provision of Foster Care Specialty Prevention Services in an amount not to exceed $254,280 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2023, with an additional one-year option to renew, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
