AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ALTAMONT PROGRAM, INC. REGARDING A CODE BLUE WARMING CENTER

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with The Altamont Program, Inc. regarding the operation of a Code Blue warming center located at 45 South Ferry Street in the City of Albany in an amount not to exceed $402,200 for a term commencing November 1, 2025 and ending April 30, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the warming center will serve up to 25 individuals and may operate at any time during the day or night, but during the Code Blue season the center will be available to eligible clientele continuously for overnight usage as approved by the Department of Social Services, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with The Altamont Program, Inc., Schenectady, NY 12304 regarding the operation of a Code Blue warming center located at 45 South Ferry Street in the City of Albany in an amount not to exceed $402,200 for a term commencing November 1, 2025 and ending April 30, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
