AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CALLANAN INDUSTRIES, INC. REGARDING THE 2026 HAULING AND PLACING OF ASPHALT CONCRETE ON VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Callanan Industries, Inc. regarding the hauling and placing of asphalt concrete on various County roads in an amount not to exceed $5,617,468 for a term commencing May 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Department, through the County Purchasing Agent, received five bids and Callanan Industries, Inc. was deemed the lowest qualified bidder, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Callanan Industries, Inc., Albany, NY 12211 regarding the hauling and placing of asphalt concrete on various County roads in an amount not to exceed $5,617,468 for a term commencing May 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
