AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH REGARDING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS OF THE CHILDREN AND YOUTH WITH SPECIAL HEALTH CARE NEEDS PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Department of Health regarding reimbursement for the administrative costs of the Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Program (CYSHCN) in the amount of $136,804 for a term commencing October 1, 2024 and ending September 30, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that CYSHCN seeks to improve the system of care for children from birth to 21 years old with special health care needs for which they require extra health care and support, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Department of Health regarding reimbursement for the administrative costs of CYSHCN in the amount of $136,804 for a term commencing October 1, 2024 and ending September 30, 2025, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
