AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE FOR THE AGING REGARDING UNMET NEED

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Aging has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office for the Aging regarding unmet need in the amount of $1,026,660 for a term commencing April 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the funding will be used to provide congregate meals, home-delivered meals, transportation, legal services, and other services that will be provided as unmet need services to adults 60 years and older in Albany County who are eligible, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office for the Aging regarding unmet need in the amount of $1,026,660 for a term commencing April 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
