AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH BERKSHIRE FARM CENTER & SERVICES FOR YOUTH REGARDING THE PROVISION OF JUVENILE JUSTICE PREVENTION SERVICES FOR THE HOME RUN PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Albany County Department of Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth regarding the provision of juvenile justice prevention services for the Home Run Program in an amount not to exceed $214,839 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, with two one-year options to renew, and
WHEREAS, The Home Run Program is an intensive and client-centered family-focused school, community, and home-based truancy prevention program for at-risk youth that provides an array of services to include individual and family counseling in the City of Cohoes, City of Watervliet, Green Island, South Colonie, and Guilderland, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth, Albany, NY 12205 regarding the provision of juvenile justice prevention services for the Home Run Program in an amount not to exceed $214,839 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, with two one-year options to renew, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
