AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH BIRDALL EXCAVATION AND CONSTRUCTION, LLC REGARDING THE CR111 OVER HANNACROIS CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Birdsall Excavation and Construction, LLC regarding the CR111 over Hannacrois Creek Bridge Replacement Project in an amount not to exceed $1,687,928 for a term commencing June 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that this project will remove the existing two span bridge superstructure and install a new two span structure, and
WHEREAS, The Department, through the Purchasing Agent, received three bids and Birdsall Excavation and Construction, LLC was the lowest qualified bidder, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Birdsall Excavation and Construction, LLC, Clarksville, NY 12041 regarding the CR111 over Hannacrois Creek Bridge Replacement Project in an amount not to exceed $1,687,928 for a term commencing June 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content prior to the execution thereof, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
