AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 355 FOR 2024 REGARDING THE 2022 HAZARDOUS MATERIALS GRANT AND AMENDING THE 2025 SHERIFF'S OFFICE BUDGET

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 355 for 2024, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding the fiscal year 2022 Hazardous Materials Grant in an amount of $171,750 for a term commencing April 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to amend the agreement to reflect a term ending August 31, 2026 rather than August 31, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff has also requested a budget amendment to enable the most efficient use of the grant funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 355 for 2024 is amended to reflect a term ending August 31, 2026 rather than August 31, 2025, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2025 Sheriff’s Office Budget is hereby amended as follows:
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
