AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 193 FOR 2024 REGARDING THE LEAD RENTAL REGISTRY PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2026 DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH BUDGET

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 193 for 2024, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Community Environmental Health and Food Protection to accept Lead Rental Registry Program funding in the amount of $848,000 per year for a total amount of $4,240,000 for a five-year term commencing April 1, 2024 and ending March 31, 2029, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Health has been notified of an additional $35,775 in funding per year for each of the remaining three years in the grant period for a new total annual amount of $883,775, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that a budget amendment is necessary to incorporate the aforementioned funding into the 2026 Department of Health Budget, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 193 for 2024 is hereby amended in the amount of $35,775 per year for each of the remaining three years in the grant period for a new total annual amount of $883,775, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2026 Department of Health Budget is amended as follows:
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendments as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
