RESOLUTION NO. 811

 

AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 520 FOR 2022 REGARDING ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING SERVICES FOR THE CAPITAL DISTRICT JUVENILE DETENTION FACILITY

By Public Works Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 520 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with DCL Electric, LLC regarding electrical contracting services at the Capital District Juvenile Detention Facility in an amount not to exceed $4,108,200 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2025, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has now requested an amendment to the agreement with DCL Electric, LLC in the amount of $58,092 to reflect a new total contract amount of $4,166,292 to address issues uncovered during the construction, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that this amendment is also necessary to address program and security issues identified by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, the New York State Commission on Corrections, the Albany County Sheriff’s Department, and the Dormitory Authority of New York State, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 520 for 2022 is hereby amended in the amount of $58,092 to reflect a new total contract amount of $4,166,292, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
