AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 461 FOR 2025 REGARDING NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF MENTAL HEALTH FUNDING FOR EQUINOX, INC. AND AMENDING THE 2026 DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET

By Health Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 461 for 2025, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with Equinox, Inc. for supportive housing and advocacy for individuals with mental health issues in the amount of $600,950 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Health has been notified of additional funding for Equinox, Inc. from New York State Office of Mental Health in the amount of $61,597 for a new total amount of $662,547, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested an amendment to the 2026 Department of Mental Health Budget to incorporate the additional funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 461 for 2025 is hereby amended in the amount of $61,597 for a new total amount of $662,547, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2026 Department of Mental Health Budget is hereby amended as follows:
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
