AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 3 WITH LABELLA ASSOCIATES D.P.C. REGARDING CONTINUED SOIL AND GROUNDWATER REMEDIATION RELATED TO A FUEL LEAK AT THE NEW SALEM ROAD FACILITY

WHEREAS, The Contract Administration Board (CAB) previously authorized an agreement (CAB 5239-2019) and supplemental agreement (CAB 6536 - 2021) with LaBella Associates D.P.C. for soil monitoring and groundwater remediation related to a fuel leak at the Department of Public Works’ New Salem Road Facility, and

 

WHEREAS, By resolution number 426 for 2024 this Honorable Body approved supplemental agreements No. 2 with LaBella Associates D.P.C., and

 

WHEREAS, The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has requested further soil monitoring and remediation at this site, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into Supplemental Agreement No.3 with LaBella Associates D.P.C. regarding continued soil monitoring and ground water remediation in an amount not to exceed $197,675 for a term commencing October 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2027, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a supplemental agreement with LaBella Associates D.P.C., Latham, NY 12110 regarding continued soil monitoring and ground water remediation related to a fuel leak at the New Salem Road facility in an amount not to exceed $197,675 for a term commencing October 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2027, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
