RESOLUTION NO. 338

 

AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MEMORIAL FLAG POLE AT THE ANN LEE POND NATURE AND HISTORIC PRESERVE

 

                     Introduced:  10/12/21

                     By Conservation, Sustainability, and Initiatives Committee and Mr. Miller:

 

WHEREAS, Benjamin Nelson, a local Boy Scout, has proposed the installation of a Memorial Flag Pole at the Ann Lee Pond Nature and Historic Preserve, at no cost to the County, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the Memorial Flag Pole will be installed at the Ann Lee Pond Nature and Historic Preserve surrounded by a circle of flowers to honor veterans and those who lost their lives to COVID-19, now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, That the County Executive is authorized to execute any necessary documents to permit the project to move forward, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said documents as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
