AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM THE NEW YORK STATE COUNTY INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT PROGRAM REGARDING THE ALBANY COUNTY HELDERBERG-HUDSON RAIL TRAIL FREIGHT DEPOT RENOVATION PROJECT AND AMENDING THE 2025 DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, CONSERVATION, AND PLANNING BUDGET

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to accept a grant from the New York State Infrastructure Grant Program regarding renovations to the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail Freight Depot in the amount of $425,000 for a term commencing July 24, 2025 and ending July 24, 2027, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the aforementioned grant funds will be used to upgrade the Freight Depot and convert it into useful community space, and

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested an amendment to the 2025 Department of Economic Development, Conservation, and Planning Budget, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to accept a grant from the New York State Infrastructure Grant Program regarding renovations to the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail Freight Depot in the amount of $425,000 for a term commencing July 24, 2025 and ending July 24, 2027, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the 2025 Department of Economic Development, Conservation, and Planning Budget is hereby amended as follows:

 

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
