RESOLUTION NO. 609

 

AMENDING THE 2023 DEPARTMENT FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES BUDGET:  INCREASED FUNDING FOR SECURE DETENTION PLACEMENTS

                     By Social Services Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has indicated that a budget amendment is required to make adjustments for Secure Detention placements, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner has requested a transfer of funds from its Foster Care Voluntary Agency account, for which expenditures are tracking lower than what was appropriated, to its Secure Detention account, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the 2023 Department for Children, Youth and Families Budget is amended as follows:

 

Decrease Appropriation Account A6119.4 by $500,000 by decreasing Line Item A6119 4 4405R Foster Care Voluntary Agency by $500,000

 

Increase Appropriation Account A6119.4 by $500,000 by increasing Line Item A6119 4 4402R Secure Detention by $500,000

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
