RESOLUTION NO. 318

 

AUTHORIZING A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH MOHAWK HUDSON LAND CONSERVANCY REGARDING THE INSTALLATION OF A PAINTED MURAL ON COUNTY PROPERTY ALONG THE ALBANY COUNTY RAIL TRAIL IN THE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM

                     By Public Works Committee and Miller:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Albany County Executive has requested authorization to enter into a license agreement with Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy (MHLC) regarding the installation of a painted mural on County property along the Albany County Rail Trail in the Town of Bethlehem, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the mural will be created by artist Quill Harrison, who has been contracted by the Art on the Rail Trail (ART) Committee of MHLC, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has also indicated that the ART Committee will be responsible for preparing a fence prior to the installation of the painting and will need access to County property during this time and for continued maintenance of the painting post-installation at no cost to the County, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a license agreement with MHLC, Delmar, NY 12054, regarding the installation of a painted mural on County property along the Albany County Rail Trail in the Town of Bethlehem, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
