AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH INTRADO LIFE AND SAFETY SOLUTIONS REGARDING COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT FOR THE E-911 COMMUNICATIONS CENTER

                     By Public Safety Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Intrado Life and Safety Solutions Corporation regarding an upgrade to the present E-911 phone system and the purchase of 10 portable E-911 dispatch stations to mirror the dispatch stations at the E-911 Communications Center in an amount not to exceed $446,233 for a term commencing June 15, 2026 and ending June 14, 2031, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Sheriff has indicated Intrado Life and Safety Solutions Corporation is the manufacturer of the technology and is a sole source vendor, and

 

WHEREAS, The Sheriff has also indicated that funding from a 2025 New York State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Next Gen grant will be used for the upgrade and purchase, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Intrado Life and Safety Solutions Corporation, Longmont, CO 80503 regarding an upgrade to the present E-911 phone system and the purchase of 10 portable E-911 dispatch stations to mirror the dispatch stations at the E-911 Communications Center in an amount not to exceed $446,233 for a term commencing June 15, 2026 and ending June 14, 2031, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
