AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A SUPERVISION AND TREATMENT SERVICES FOR JUVENILES PROGRAM PLAN TO THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES

 

                     Introduced: 2/13/23

                     By Social Services Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to sign and submit a Supervision and Treatment Services for Juveniles Program Plan (STSJP) to New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) in order to accept funding in the amount of $172,722 to support programming at the Albany County Probation Department and Albany County Family Court for juvenile justice involved youth for a term commencing October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2023, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that Albany County is required to sign and submit a STSJP to OCFS to receive allocated funding to support such programming, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to sign and submit a STSJP to OCFS in order to accept funding in the amount of $172,722 to support such programming at the Albany County Probation Department and Albany County Family Court for a term commencing October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2023, and, be it further

                     

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said plan as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of the resolution the appropriate County Officials.
