AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 377 FOR 2022 REGARDING THE 2022 DOMESTIC TERRORISM PREVENTION GRANT AND AMENDING THE 2024 SHERIFF'S OFFICE BUDGET

By Public Safety Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 377 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services for the FY 2022 Domestic Terrorism Prevention Grant in an amount of $172,413 for a term commencing September 1, 2022 and ending August 31, 2024, and

 

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to amend the agreement to reflect a term ending August 31, 2025 rather than August 31, 2024, and

 

WHEREAS, The Sheriff has also requested a budget amendment to enable the most efficient use of the grant funding as the needs of the Threat Assessment Management Team evolve in response to ongoing public safety needs, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 377 for 2022 is amended to reflect a term ending August 31, 2025 rather than August 31, 2024, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the 2024 Sheriff’s Office Budget is hereby amended as follows:

 

Decrease Appropriation Account A3110.4 by $11,540 by decreasing Line Item A3114 4 4046 DTP22 Fees for Services by $11,540

 

Increase Appropriation Account A3110.1 by $11,540 by increasing Line Item A3110 1 9900 DTP22 Overtime by $11,540

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
