AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH ECKERT MECHANICAL FOR PLUMBING CONSTRUCTION SERVICES REGARDING THE KNOX HIGHWAY GARAGE PROJECT

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Eckert Mechanical for plumbing construction services regarding the Knox Highway Garage Project (Project) in an amount not to exceed $138,545 for a term commencing March 1, 2023 and ending July 31, 2024, and
WHEREAS, The Department of Public Works through the County Purchasing Agent issued a request for bids for Plumbing Construction Services regarding the Project and one bid was received, and
WHEREAS, The Department and Lamont Engineering reviewed said bid and have recommended awarding the contract to Eckert Mechanical as the sole bidder, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the contract includes the installation of a domestic hot-water and cold-water system, sanitary sewer, and drainage system regarding the Project, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Eckert Mechanical, Albany, NY 12205, for plumbing construction services for the Project in an amount not to exceed $138,545 for a term commencing March 1, 2023 and ending July 31, 2024, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
