RESOLUTION NO. 161

 

ADOPTING THE PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS TO AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT NO. 1

 

                     Introduced:  5/9/22

                     By Conservation, Sustainability, and Green Initiatives Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, Section 303-a of the Agriculture and Markets Law mandates the review of an agricultural district every eight years, and

 

                     WHEREAS, In connection with such review, a proposal for the modification of Agricultural District No. 1 has been submitted by the Agricultural Farmland Protection Board, and

 

                     WHEREAS, In conducting such review, Section 303 of the Agriculture and Markets Law requires this Honorable Body to hold a public hearing at a place within or readily accessible to Agricultural District No. 1, which public hearing was held remotely for the purpose of receiving the comments of any interested persons regarding the proposed modifications of Agricultural District No. 1, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the plan submitted by the Agricultural Farmland Protection Board regarding the proposed modification of Agricultural District No. 1 is hereby approved and adopted, and Agricultural District No. 1 shall be continued with the proposed modifications contained therein, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That a copy of the plan shall be submitted to the Commissioner of Agriculture and Markets, along with a certified copy of this resolution, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
