AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES AND AN INTERDEPARTMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CRIME VICTIM AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE CENTER REGARDING GRANT FUNDING FOR THE CHILD RIGHT: SAFE HARBOR INITIATIVE

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to accept grant funding regarding the Child Right: Safe Harbor Initiative in the amount of $40,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested authorization to enter into an interdepartmental agreement with the Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center for facilitation of services related to the Child Right: Safe Harbor Initiative in the amount of $40,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to accept grant funding in the amount of $40,000 regarding the Child Right: Safe Harbor Initiative for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the County Executive is authorized to enter into an interdepartmental agreement with the Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center for facilitation of services related to the Child Right: Safe Harbor Initiative in the amount of $40,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further
