AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES REGARDING SEXUAL ASSAULT SERVICES PROGRAM FUNDING

WHEREAS, The Director of the Albany County Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services regarding Sexual Assault Services Program funding in the amount of $17,358 for a term commencing July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that the funding will be used to provide direct interventions and related assistance to victims of sexual assault in addition to hotline coverage, forensic exams, trauma therapy, and case management services, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services regarding Sexual Assault Services Program funding in the amount of $17,358 for a term commencing July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
