AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT OF TWINNING AND COOPERATION BETWEEN ALBANY COUNTY AND NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, ONTARIO, CANADA

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement of Twinning and Cooperation between Albany County and Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the agreement of Twinning and Cooperation will focus on the areas of economic development and cultural partnership by creating economic ties through joint initiatives that promote agriculture and industry, and enhance welfare and prosperity, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement of Twinning and Cooperation between Albany County and Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
