AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT CENTRE STREET AND LIVINGSTON AVENUE IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, The County of Albany is the owner of a +0.02 acre parcel of real property located adjacent to Centre Street and Livingston Avenue in the City of Albany, and
WHEREAS, The New York State Department of Transportation has expressed an interest in acquiring said parcel in the amount of $8,400, and
WHEREAS, The New York State Department of Transportation has indicated that said parcel will be used to further their project reconstructing the nearby Livingston Avenue Bridge in the City of Albany, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 134 for 2024, this parcel was declared “no longer necessary for public use” pursuant to County Law § 215 and § 65-3 of the Albany County Code, and it is therefore eligible to be sold, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any documents necessary to convey the +0.02 acre parcel of real property located adjacent to Centre Street and Livingston Avenue in the City of Albany, as indicated on the map annexed hereto, to New York State Department of Transportation for the amount of $8,400, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
