AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH TEVA PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES LTD REGARDING NEW YORK OPIOID SETTLEMENT FUNDS

WHEREAS, The Director of the Department of Mental Health has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries LTD to accept settlement funding from the New York State Opioid Settlement Fund in the amount of $97,506, and
WHEREAS, The Director has indicated the funding will be used to address substance use prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery service needs in Albany County, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries LTD, Israel to accept settlement funding from the New York State Opioid Settlement Fund in the amount of $97,506, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
