RESOLUTION NO. 233

 

AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 460 FIRST ST. (TAX MAP NO. 65.55-1-11) AND 58 QUAIL ST. (TAX MAP NO. 65.47-3-45) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through “in rem” foreclosure title to parcels of real property located at 460 First St. (Tax Map No. 65.55-1-11) and 58 Quail St. (Tax Map No. 65.47-3-45) in the City of Albany, and

 

WHEREAS, The Eden’s Rose Foundation is the abutting property owner of these two parcels, and has expressed an interest in acquiring the parcels for $500 per parcel, and

 

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 141 for 2025, this Honorable Body adopted an Updated Disposition Plan for Real Property Acquired through the In Rem Delinquent Tax Foreclosure Process, and

 

WHEREAS, § 360-41(c) of the Updated Disposition Plan allows for properties to be sold to abutting or adjacent property owners, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any and all documents necessary to convey properties located at 460 First St. (Tax Map No. 65.55-1-11) and 58 Quail St. (Tax Map No. 65.47-3-45) in the City of Albany to Eden’s Rose Foundation for $500 per parcel, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That Eden’s Rose Foundation shall be responsible for all closing costs at the time of closing, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
