AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 319 FOR 2024 REGARDING THE CARES OF NY INC. HOUSING RESOURCES CONNECTION PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2024 DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, CONSERVATION AND PLANNING BUDGET

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 319 for 2024, this Honorable Body authorized a memorandum of understanding with the City of Albany regarding the CARES of NY Inc. Housing Resources Connection Program in the amount of $900,000 over a three-year term as well as a budget amendment to incorporate $900,000 into the 2024 Department of Economic Development, Conservation and Planning Budget, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested an amendment to the memorandum of understanding with the City of Albany and the 2024 Department of Economic Development, Conservation and Planning to more accurately reflect the timeline in which the County will receive funding from the City of Albany, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 319 for 2024 is hereby amended as follows:
DELETE the First and Second Resolved Clauses in their entirety and REPLACE as follows:
"RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the City of Albany regarding the CARES of NY Inc. Housing Resources Connection Program in the amount of $300,000 for 2024, $300,000 for 2025, and $300,000 for 2026 over a three-year term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2024 Department of Economic Development, Conservation and Planning Budget is hereby amended as follows:
Increase Revenue Account A8020 0 2372 Housing Resource Connection by $300,000
Increase Appropriation Account A8020.4 by $300,000 by increasing Line Item A8020 4 4976 Albany County Improvement Init by $300,000
