AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 465 FOR 2025 REGARDING NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF MENTAL HEALTH FUNDING FOR UNITY HOUSE OF TROY AND AMENDING THE 2026 DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET

By Health Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 465 for 2025, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with Unity House of Troy for supported education, transformed business model, Personal Recovery Oriented System, and sheltered workshop services for individuals with mental illness in the amount of $434,459 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Health has been notified of additional funding for Unity House of Troy from New York State Office of Mental Health in the amount of $62,465 for a new total amount of $496,924, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested an amendment to the 2026 Department of Mental Health Budget to incorporate the additional funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 465 for 2025 is hereby amended in the amount of $62,465 for a new total amount of $496,924, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2026 Department of Mental Health Budget is hereby amended as follows:
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
