AUTHORIZING AN INTERDEPARTMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CRIME VICTIM AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE CENTER REGARDING THE CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER

                     By Social Services Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 242 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized

an agreement  with the New York Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) to accept grant funding in an amount of $140,399 and an interdepartmental agreement with the Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center (CVSVC) in an amount not to exceed $27,333 for a term commencing October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2023, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an interdepartmental agreement with CVSVC regarding a Family Advocate position at the Children’s Advocacy Center in an amount not to exceed $54,666 for a term commencing October 1, 2023 and ending September 30, 2025, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the grant funding awarded by OCFS will be used to offset salary and fringe of a clerical support person at the Children’s Advocacy Center and a Family Advocate position that is staffed by CVSVC, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, That the County Executive is authorized to execute an interdepartmental agreement between DCYF and CVSVC in an amount not to exceed $54,666 for a term commencing October 1, 2023 and ending September 30, 2025, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Albany County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate State and County Officials.
