AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY SERVICES REGARDING THE 2021 CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT AND AMENDING THE 2024 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding funding for the 2021 Critical Infrastructure Grant Program in the amount of $50,000 for a term commencing April 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated the grant funds will be used to increase physical security of the MVP Arena by purchasing and installing gates at the rear entrance of the Arena, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has also requested a budget amendment to appropriate the aforementioned grant funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding funding for the 2021 Critical Infrastructure Grant Program in the amount of $50,000 for a term commencing April 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2024 Albany County Budget is amended as follows:
Increase Revenue Account A7128 0 4306 Homeland Security by $50,000
Increase Appropriation Account A7128.4 by $50,000 by increasing Line Item A7128 4 4999 Mis Contractual Expense by $50,000
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
