AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF TEMPORARY AND DISABILITY ASSISTANCE REGARDING THE RENTAL SUPPLEMENT PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2026 DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES BUDGET

By Social Services Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance to accept funding for the Rental Supplement Program in the amount of $1,125,750 for the term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2027, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested authorization to amend the 2026 Department of Social Services Budget to incorporate the funding, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance to accept funding for the Rental Supplement Program in the amount of $1,125,750 for the term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2027, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the 2026 Department of Social Services Budget is hereby amended as follows:

 

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
