AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CDW GOVERNMENT REGARDING ARCTIC WOLF CYBERSECURITY SOLUTIONS

WHEREAS, The Division of Information Services has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with CDW Government to provide Albany County with Arctic Wolf managed detection and response cybersecurity solutions for a term of one year beginning once onboarding is complete, at a cost of $153,676, and
WHEREAS, The Division of Information Services, using the Sourcewell national purchasing cooperative contract, has recommended CDW Government for the purchase of Arctic Wolf Cybersecurity solutions for Albany County, and
WHEREAS, Arctic Wolf’s suite of cybersecurity solutions include a fully managed and hosted security information and event management system to provide security and planning, as well as 24/7 monitoring of county computer assets, and
WHEREAS, This will also include an additional $500,000 warranty benefit, in addition to cyber security insurance, in the event of a cybersecurity incident against Albany County, and
WHEREAS, The Division of Information Services has further indicated that this contract shall be funded through two federal grants and is budget neutral, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute an into an agreement with CDW Government to provide Albany County with Arctic Wolf managed detection and response cybersecurity solutions for a term of one year beginning once onboarding is complete, at a cost of $153,676, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That said agreement be approved by the County Attorney as to form and content prior to the execution therefore, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward copies of this resolution to the appropriate Albany and Saratoga County Officials.
