RESOLUTION NO. 287

 

AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY KNOWN AS NILES ROAD EXTENSION (TAX MAP NO. 161.-1-7) IN THE TOWN OF RENSSELAERVILLE

                     By Audit and Finance Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through in rem foreclosure title to a parcel of real property known as Niles Road Extension (Tax Map No. 161.-1-7) in the Town of Rensselaerville, and

 

WHEREAS, Julianne Smith, as trustee of the Bowdish Family Irrevocable Trust, an abutting property owner, has expressed an interest in acquiring this parcel for $500, and

 

WHEREAS, Revisions to the County’s Real Property Disposition Plan approved by Resolution No. 29 of 2019 implemented procedures for properties to be sold to abutting property owners, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any documents necessary to convey property known as Niles Road Extension (Tax Map No. 161.-1-7) in the Town of Rensselaerville, to Julianne Smith, as trustee of the Bowdish Family Irrevocable Trust, an abutting property owner, for $500, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That Julianne Smith, as trustee of the Bowdish Family Irrevocable Trust, shall be responsible for all closing costs, and a pro-rated share of any current real property taxes which are owed on the property at closing, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
