AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH JOHNSON CONTROLS, INC. REGARDING HVAC PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE FOR THE HAROLD L. JOYCE BUILDING AND JUDICIAL CENTER

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has requested authorization to enter into a three-year month agreement with Johnson Controls, Inc. regarding HVAC preventive maintenance and emergency service in an amount not to exceed $198,468 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2024, and

WHEREAS, The Albany County Purchasing Department issued an Request for Bids for HVAC Preventive Maintenance and Emergency Service for Various County Facilities, six bids were received in response to the Request for Bids and Johnson Controls, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder, and

WHEREAS, The Commissioner and the County Purchasing Agent have recommended awarding the contract to Johnson Controls, Inc. regarding HVAC preventive maintenance and emergency service for the Harold L. Joyce Building and Judicial Center, and

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that, under the agreement, the New York State Office of Court Administration ("OCA") will reimburse Albany County for a substantial portion of the preventive and emergency services that are associated with the Albany County Judicial Center, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a three-year agreement with Johnson Controls, Inc., Clifton Park, NY 12065 regarding HVAC preventive maintenance and emergency service for the Harold L. Joyce Building and Judicial Center in an amount not to exceed $198,468 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2024, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
