AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS REGARDING THE STATE AND LOCAL CYBERSECURITY GRANT PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Chief Information Officer has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) regarding the Combined FY2022 and FY2023 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant for a term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending April 1, 2027, and
WHEREAS, The Chief Information Officer has also requested authorization to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with DHSES and the New York State Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) to provide the County with Multi-Factor Authentication hardware tokens, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with DHSES regarding the Combined FY2022 and FY2023 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant for a term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending April 1, 2027, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Executive is also authorized to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with DHSES and OITS to provide the County with Multi-Factor Authentication hardware tokens, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
