AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE HOUSING TRUST FUND CORPORATION REGARDING THE LEADING IN LEAD PREVENTION PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Health has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Housing Trust Fund Corporation regarding the Leading in Lead Prevention Program in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 with a maximum of $40,000 allocated per rental unit for the term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2028, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated the funding will be used to remove lead hazards in homes in five identified zip codes in the City of Albany, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Housing Trust Fund Corporation regarding the Leading in Lead Prevention Program in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 with a maximum of $40,000 allocated per rental unit for the term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2028, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
