AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH SAFETY NATIONAL CASUALTY CORP REGARDING EXCESS WORKERS’ COMPENSATION INSURANCE COVERAGE

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Human Resources has requested authorization to enter into an agreement through Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. regarding excess workers’ compensation insurance coverage with Safety National Casualty Corporation at a premium of $390,008 for the term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the request is for a one-year renewal and the premium has decreased 12.01% from last year, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement through Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. with Safety National Casualty Corporation, St. Louis, MO 63146 regarding excess workers’ compensation insurance coverage at a premium not to exceed $390,008 for the term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
