AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH BERKSHIRE FARM CENTER & SERVICES FOR YOUTH REGARDING THE HOME RUN PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth regarding the Home Run Program in an amount not to exceed $214,839 for a term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024, which is the final one-year option to renew, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the Home Run Program is an intensive and client-centered family, school, community, and home-based truancy prevention program for at-risk youth that will continue to provide an array of services including individual and family counseling in the Cohoes School District and at Albany High School, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth, Albany, NY 12205 regarding the Home Run Program in an amount not to exceed $214,839 for a term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
