MAKING A SEQR DETERMINATION AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 48 HOWARD STREET (TAX MAP NO. 76.42-1-12.2) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to purchase a parcel of real property located at 48 Howard Street (Tax Map No. 76.42-1-12.2) in the City of Albany from NYSTPBA Holdings LLC for $550,000, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that said purchase will allow for additional office and parking space for County employees at 112 State Street, and,
WHEREAS, This purchase has been designated an Unlisted action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that a short Environmental Assessment Form has been completed and, after review, it has been recommended that the Legislature determine that the Project will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that this Honorable Body has considered the recommendation and materials submitted and hereby determines that this purchase will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment pursuant to SEQRA, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the County of Albany any and all documents necessary to purchase a parcel of real property located at 48 Howard Street (Tax Map No. 76.42-1-12.2) in the City of Albany from NYSTPBA Holdings LLC for $550,000, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said documents as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
