AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ADVANCE ALBANY COUNTY ALLIANCE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REGARDING STAGE ACT FUNDING

By Conservation, Sustainability, Green Initiatives Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Advance Albany County Alliance Local Development Corporation regarding the administration of grant funding relative to the STAGE Act in the amount of $1,000,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and

 

WHEREAS, The STAGE Act was established to support green industries in Albany County through grant funding to encourage investment and job creation in the County, and

 

WHEREAS, The STAGE Act regulations call on the Advance Albany County Alliance to administer the grant program, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Advance Albany County Alliance Local Development Corporation regarding the administration of grant funding relative to the STAGE Act in the amount of $1,000,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
