AMENDING THE 2024 DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET: OPIOID SETTLEMENT FUNDS

WHEREAS, The Director of Mental Health has requested authorization to amend the 2024 Department of Mental Health Budget to incorporate Opioid Settlement Funds, and
WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that the funds will be used to fund a three-year contract with a part-time prescriber who will conduct medication for opioid use disorder inductions through the Mental Health Clinic and via telehealth in coordination with the Mobile Outreach, Treatment, and Overdose Response (MOTOR) and Albany County Crisis Officials Responding and Diverting (ACCORD) programs, and to purchase supplies for the MOTOR program including naloxone and wound care kits to be distributed to clients and family members, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 2024 Department of Mental Health Budget is hereby amended as follows:
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
