AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 415 FOR 1997 AS AMENDED REGARDING THE PUBLIC USE PLAN FOR THE LAWSON LAKE PROPERTY REGARDING OVERNIGHT CAMPING AND OPEN FIRES

 

                     Introduced: 10/14/25

By Public Works Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 415 for 1997, this Honorable Body authorized the Public Use Plan for the Lawson Lake property which prohibited open fires, and overnight camping, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The facility has been upgraded to include tent platforms and a campfire pit near the lodge, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has asked that the Public Use Plan for the Lawson Lake Property be updated to allow for camping and open fires on the property with permission, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 415 for 1997 is hereby amended updating the Public Use Plan for the Lawson Lake Property to allow for camping and open fires with permission at the Lawson Lake property, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
